FloatPrompt ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use the FloatPrompt mobile application ("the App").
2. Data Collection
- We do not collect personal data on our servers.
- Scripts you create are stored locally on your device only.
- Video recordings are saved locally to your device's Gallery.
- We do not transmit any of your scripts, recordings, or personal files to external servers.
3. Permissions
- Display Over Other Apps (Overlay): Used to display the teleprompter script over other applications.
- Camera/Microphone: Used only when you actively choose to record a video within the App.
- These permissions are only activated with your explicit action and are not used in the background.
4. Advertising & Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data:
a) Google AdMob (Advertising)
- AdMob displays ads in this App and may use technologies such as cookies, device identifiers (including Advertising ID), IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve ads and measure their performance.
- Data that may be collected includes: Advertising ID, device information (model, OS version, screen size), IP address, approximate location (IP-based), app usage data, and interaction with ads.

b) Google Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Analytics collects app usage data including device identifiers, session data, and in-app events to help us understand usage patterns.

5. User Consent & Ad Personalization
- Before serving personalized ads, we request your consent using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), in compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulations.
- You may change your ad personalization preferences at any time through the App's Settings screen under "Manage Ad Preferences."
- If you do not consent to personalized ads, you may still see non-personalized (contextual) ads.
- Google will not personalize ads if a user's Google Account ad personalization setting is turned off, regardless of any choice made in this App.
6. Data Sharing
- We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
- We do not pass any personally identifiable information (PII) to Google or any third party through our ad integrations.
- Data collected by third-party ad and analytics services (AdMob, Firebase) is processed by those services according to their own privacy policies linked above.
7. Children's Privacy
- This App is not directed at children under the age of 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- We have tagged our ad requests to indicate this App is NOT directed at children (setTagForUnderAgeOfConsent = false).
- If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to remove it.
8. Data Retention
- All user-generated content (scripts, recordings) is stored locally on your device.
- We do not retain any user data on our servers.
- Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data.
- Third-party services (AdMob, Firebase) may retain data according to their own policies.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time via Settings > Manage Ad Preferences
- Object to data processing
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data is collected
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)

10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All user content remains on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.
11. Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last modified" date at the top of this policy.
- We will notify users of material changes through an in-app notice.
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
