Overview
You can delete your FloatPrompt account and all associated data at any time. We provide two methods: directly inside the app (instant) and via email request.
1. Delete Directly in the App (Recommended — Instant)
The fastest way to delete your account and cloud data:
- Open FloatPrompt on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Under Cloud, tap Delete Account
- Confirm deletion in the dialog
This immediately deletes your Firebase authentication, all scripts stored in Firebase Firestore, and disables Cloud Sync. This action cannot be undone.
Note: You must be signed in to use this option. If you cannot sign in, use the email method below.
2. Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion by email, contact us at:

3. What Data Is Deleted
- Firebase Authentication: Your account identifier (UID), display name linkage
- Cloud Firestore: All scripts synced to the cloud (title, content, folder, scroll speed, font size, mirror setting, last modified timestamp)
- Cloud Sync preference: Disabled and cleared
Not affected: Scripts and recordings stored only locally on your device are not deleted by the cloud deletion. To remove local data, clear app data or uninstall the app.
4. What Happens After Your Request
- We verify the email matches a Firebase account in our project
- We delete all associated Firestore documents and the Firebase authentication record
- We confirm deletion by reply email
- Timeline: Deletion is completed within 7 days of receiving your request (usually within 48 hours)
- After deletion, your subscription (if any) remains managed by Google Play — please cancel it separately in Google Play if you no longer wish to be charged
5. Retention
- Once deleted, cloud data cannot be recovered
- We do not retain backups of deleted accounts
- Local data on your device is under your control and is removed when you uninstall the app
