1. About this policy
This policy applies to Marian Covenant Companion, an Android app developed by ObfuscateX, package ID com.obfuscatex.covenantcompanion. It describes the initial, ad-free version of the app.
The app is an independent personal tracker. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Kreupasanam, and is not an official covenant record.
2. Information stored on your device
The app stores the following information locally to provide its features:
- An optional name used to personalize the experience.
- Your covenant start date and daily task completion records, including prayer, fasting, reading time and other practices.
- Your language and reminder preferences and other app settings.
This information is used to show your timeline, progress and streaks, preserve your choices, and deliver local reminders. Your name and covenant records are not sent to ObfuscateX or shared with advertisers.
3. Accounts, advertising and analytics
No account or sign-in is required. This version does not include advertising, advertising SDKs, analytics, tracking or a third-party crash-reporting service. Appodeal is not integrated in this version.
4. Storage, security and backups
App records are stored in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s application sandbox. No developer-operated server stores your covenant data. App backup and device transfer are excluded by the app’s Android backup rules.
Backups created by an older version may remain with your backup provider. You can manage those using your device or account settings. No storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Permissions and reminders
- Notifications: optional permission used for prayer and task reminders. You can turn reminders off in the app or in Android notification settings.
- Boot completed: used to restore enabled reminders after a device restart.
The app does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera or precise location.
6. External websites and this policy page
Prayer links open the Kreupasanam website in an external browser or another app. Opening a link does not send your name or covenant records to the website. The destination may receive connection information such as your IP address and browser details, and its own privacy policy applies.
This policy page is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process connection information when you visit it, under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. This page does not include advertising or analytics scripts.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them. To erase the app’s data, use Settings → Erase data and start again inside the app, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall it. The in-app erase action removes local history and settings and cancels reminders.
Deletion cannot be undone within the app. Because ObfuscateX does not receive your local records, we cannot retrieve or delete them remotely.
8. Children’s privacy
The app is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. ObfuscateX does not knowingly receive personal information from children through the app. If you have a concern, contact us using the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change. If a future release introduces ads or additional data processing, its policy and any necessary disclosures or consent controls will be updated before those features are enabled.
